Heritage Roof replacement : Directors Residence – National Film & Sound Archive (NFSA)
Pegasus Roofing recently completed a roof replacement and minor repairs to the Directors Residence at the National Film & Sound Archive. The residence originally built in 1930 for the inaugural Director of the Australian Institute of Anatomy Sir Colin MacKenzie. During a hail storm in January 2020 the roof was damaged beyond repair and consequently needed replacing. Pegasus were successful in securing the contract for replacement of the roof, minor carpentry work and external painting of the building.
When undertaking Heritage work Pegasus take pride in maintaining and preserving the heritage value and the history contained within the buildings. We work closely with engineers and heritage architects to specify products and installation methods that conserve important historical look and feel and align with contemporary safety and structural requirements demanded by todays standards and codes of practice. We always keep detailed records to ensure any work that may be required in the future has continuity.
